Absurd policies preventing the growing of food in homes and prisons all over the country show that there is still a lot of work to be done. Trying to practice sustainability, lift the stigma of incarceration, educate science to groups that are to be considered on the “outcast of society,” and improve the communities around their facilities seem near impossible, but nothing worth doing is ever easy. To Kelli, it starts with very small wins, and they will take you to a level where you are making a difference in the world!Sagebrush in Prisons Project – Institute for Applied Ecology
